Jaskiran Rekhraj

Jaskiran studied a combined Bachelor of Arts (Politics and International Relations) and Bachelor of Laws with Macquarie University and holds a Master of International Security Law from Australian National University.
During her undergraduate degrees, Jaskiran volunteered as a caseworker with asylum seekers and refugees. After being admitted, she practised in community legal centres exclusively on pro bono matters in Sydney. In 2017, she worked internationally on the Republic of Nauru as a Claims Assistance Provider before returning to Australia to work on the medevac and Legacy Caseload cohorts. Jaskiran has experience in all areas of the migration portfolio, including primary applications including corporate migration, family and humanitarian visa applications, character issues and cancellations, merits review at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (Migration and Refugee Division and General Division) and the Immigration Assessment Authority, and judicial review in the federal courts and High Court of Australia. . |
