Nuria Vehils brings over 15 years of international justice and human rights expertise to Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers. She spent nearly a decade at the International Criminal Court (ICC), based in The Hague, The Netherlands. She began at the ICC in 2015 as an Associate External Relations and Cooperation Officer in Registry, focusing on judicial cooperation matters. She later served as an Associate External Relations Adviser with the ICC Office of the Prosecutor and most recently as a Legal Officer with the Secretariat of the Assembly of States Parties until early 2025. Prior to the ICC, Nuria worked with international NGOs such as Parliamentarians for Global Action and the International Bar Association. She also interned at the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, supporting the Victim Participation Unit. Her experience also includes work on human rights education and access to justice at the Danish Institute for Human Rights. Relocating to Australia in early 2025, Nuria joined Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers, driven by a keen interest in immigration and refugee law. Nuria holds an LLM in Public International Law from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Buenos Aires. She is also the co-author of a chapter in Victim Participation in International Criminal Justice: The Practitioner’s Guide (2015). She is trilingual in Spanish, English, and French. |
