Toniey Munro

Toniey joined Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers as a lawyer and registered migration agent in January 2019.
 
In 2014, Toniey obtained a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics and International Relations and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). Toniey was admitted as a legal practitioner in Queensland in 2014. Between 2014 and 2016, Toniey lived and worked in Shenzhen, China. After returning to Australia, Toniey completed a Graduate Certificate of Australian Migration Law and Practice as well as an Honours year in respect of her Arts degree, being a research dissertation on Chinese migration and how transmigrants understand their identity and belonging in regional Queensland.  
 
Toniey has practiced exclusively in the area of migration law. She works on a variety of matters from primary applications with the Department of Home Affairs, across family, skilled, protection, character, cancellation, citizenship and other applications, to merits review applications in the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Toniey also assists with litigation in judicial review matters.
 
Toniey has a strong passion for migration law and public policy, enjoying interpreting the complexity of the law as well as considering its social impact more broadly, including the experiences of migrants. 
 
Toniey is currently completing a Master of Laws at the Australian National University. 






Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers is a participating member of the LIV Limitation of Liability Scheme. Our liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.
